Artist Statement:

I will never understand what it is to be a woman. To have my body and my privacy on display. I do know clay. And it’s molecular memory of the distortion. The memory that fire finds. These pieces are my response to the Supreme Court ruling… I do have sisters and I am a Brother and an Uncle and a Husband. 

I have asked a Woman to write her view upon seeing these small sculptures.  

“Reproduction has been taken from the safety of our very core and placed on a stage for all to debate ... my pelvis, my rules.”
