Oddball 10 is part of a new series of work where I have put the paintbrush aside and I’m relying solely on palette knives to get the paint onto the canvas. Based off of vintage yearbook portraits these characters come to life layer by layer. There’s a whole series of oddballs that have been showing up in my studio. Misanthropes and ne’er do wells, tramps and skeptics…but still friendly folks looking for love.
